Thing #23

Thing #23 ----- HOORAY!!! I'm done!!! WOW! This has been one of the MOST amazing journeys I have been on EVER! It has opened my eyes as far as technology is concerned and how it can be used in the classroom more efficiently. The biggest discovery is that of Photostory. I had the BEST time creating a photostory of the life cycle of a butterfly. I still cannot get it to save to my blog. I have tried and worked with it several times. I do have it saved to my documents and will share it whenever anyone wants to view it. The program has awakened me to the lack of technoloogy skills I do have and makes me want to learn even more and attend future trainings to better myself. I would most definitely be a part of another discovery program as I would like to train myself and others and keep my skills fresh and as my dad would say ...... "up to snuff". Now - getting the whole experience down to just one word or sentence. Well - that is tough!!! There is not just one word or phrase I would use. The overall program is something everyone in education needs to do as it has truly improved my overall technological skills and "know how".

Thing #21

Thing #21 - I played with Photostory and had the most magnificent story of the life cycle of a butterfly. It is saved onto my documents part of my computer but I cannot get it to attach to this blog. I have tried a few times now. I can definitely see uses for it and plan on using it in the future. It would make great introductions to stories, in teaching steps to math problems, or when wanting to teach science concepts in a different and interesting way. This thing will get great use by me both now and in the future and I wait to teach others about how to utilize it within their own classrooms.
PS - I finally got it to attach!!! Enjoy! (April 21, 2010 @ 8:12 p.m. CST) HOORAY!!!!!
